Monday
I started Monday off by stealing the car from my hubby. Bug and I did some shopping. We first went grocery shopping. Before Bug and I left for Texas, I asked my hubby if he needed me to grocery shop for him so he would have food for the week. He informed me he could grocery shop on his own . . . I came home to find only chicken nuggets in the fridge and Bug's whole milk . . . So, with that explanation, of course we started the week off buying food. I decided i wanted to make Cafe Rio pulled pork salad for dinner. It ended up feeding us for the rest of the week.
After spending time getting the food in the crock pot, Bug and I set off for the mall. They have a pretty cool play land area (I'll post pictures of that on Saturday section).
Tuesday
On Tuesday, we met up with some ward friends at the park. that was WAY fun!! When Bug first got onto the playground, a two year old little girl came running up to her. She pointed down at Bug's shoes and yelled "pretty shoes!!! i try?" she then sat herself down on the steps and took off her shoes and was waiting for Bug to take her's off as well. It was SO funny!! It made my morning!! We didn't spend a lot of time at the park because it started to rain. As my friend drove Bug and I home, she showed us several parks that were in walking distance (1 mile) from my apartment.
That afternoon, Bug and I walked 1 mile to Target and shopped around for a little bit. I decided that since Bug's birthday is coming up, I needed to take her to the toy department to find toys she likes. She fell in love with three different toys. Furreal puppy dog, all the dolls that I handed her and her all time favorite was the B. Woofer Hound Dog Guitar. Once it was in her hand, there was NO way of getting it back!! I almost had to buy it for her since she was SO cute strumming the strings and bun dancin in her stroller!! I took pictures of Bug with the guitar and the dog, But i can't get them off my phone. I'm so sad, so I decided to just post pictures of the two toys she loved.
the furreal puppy dog. Bug thought it was a really doggy!!! She LOVED petting the dog and making the dog bark! Bug was so excited with this puppy that she started to "eeekeeeekeek" (her form of barking).
this is her cool guitar! I'm thinking this might be a must get for her birthday. I need to train her to be a musician.
Wednesday
Wednesday we walked down to one of the parks by us that has a splash pad. That was a lot of fun! here are some pictures of the fun we had.
Bug is now a walker 99% of the time!! It's crazy!
this one isn't so much fun if you stick your face in it . . . she tried to get a drink of water but learned it doesn't work very well
After splashing around we went for a swing!! She still LOVES the swings
She was on the playground and decided she need a 10 second cat nap . . .
. . . then she was off!! this kid has NO fear!! She went right up to this slide and . . .
. . . got herself on it . . .
. . . Slid herself down it .. .
. . . and was as happy as can be about it!
She then spent the rest of the time covering her legs were wood chips *eye roll*
When we got home, there was silence . . .
Thursday
We didn't do much on Thursday. We stayed home in the morning. Bug played in her room while I laid on the day bed and read a book (I may have fallen asleep a couple of times) Thursday afternoon, Bug was going stir crazy!!! Daddy decided to work over time and didn't get home until 7:30pm, so I decided I would spend an hour on the apartment's play-land area. while there, we made a new friend who's a five year old girl. After playing with her for a little bit, she looked at me and stated "you look like you have a baby in your tummy" . . . Hmm, that could either be a very insulting comment, or a very true comment . . . It made me laugh!!
Friday
Friday I took the car again. hubby went into work late so i had time to get ready and get bug ready for the day. We ended up back at the mall. We spent 5 hours wondering around, making new friends, and playing on the play place. I ended up finding a mom who was there by herself too with four kids (two were hers and two were her brother's). Bug and I ate lunch with her. Bug LOVES this lady's son! When the boy would sing random songs, Bug would start to dance and when the boy would play peek a boo, she would go crazy with all her smiles!!
Saturday
Husband and I woke up early to help clean the church building. When we finished, He ended up having to go to work (He did 8 hours of over time this week, well thats all he recorded, he did at least6 hours of it at home that i don't think he recorded). While he was at work for three hours, Bug and i went back to the mall (the mall is like 4 blocks from hubby's work, that's why i spend a lot of time there). Here are some fun pictures of bug on the mall play land.
"going on a trip in my favorite rocket ship!!!"
Fly away little butterfly Fly!!
Bug's Favorite spot!! She loves this little board thing!
Beep beep!! I can't believe she's wanting to go to school already!! She has grown up so fast . . .
She annoys the big kids by going up the slide
this is her spot. If anyone is in her way, she pulls them off of the back and will climb in. She makes other kids mad. I have to be careful when she wants to go over to this toy.
HELLO!!!
resting.
In the evening we went to our ward talent show. I did a display table. I was to scared to pull out my flute so i just pulled out a good chunk of my most impressive sewing/ crochet/ cross stitch projects. here are three different angles of my table.
dad and Bug had fun eating crackers and waiting for mom to finish her table.
Other
In Church this week, a lady came up to me and told me she's always excited to see me at church because I always have really neat hair styles . . . umm this week i wore my hair in a half pony tail . . . last night at the ward talent show i wore my hair down . . . last week i wore my hair in a pony tail . . . I don't know what she's talking about . . . ok, well the week before i did a sideways french braid, and I french braided my bangs, and the week before I did some other cool sideways braid thing. Well, she asked if i would be willing to go over to her house and teach her how to do some things with her little girls' hair. I'm excited! that means i get to get out of the house and I get to make a new friend.
This past week, Bug has learned many new tricks. One thing she learned was the motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider!! We were singing it to her one day and all the sudden she raises her hands into the air for the spider and has them fall down for the rain . . .Such a proud mommy moment! She is getting the hang of folding her arms when we pray, or at least waiting to eat till the pray is said. She usually will place her hand on her chest while we pray, so it looks like she's folding her arms. She also will sometimes say "all done" and do the baby sign with the words. Sometimes she will also put her hands together when she wants more, which is basically the baby sign for more. I'm so proud of my little girl! She's getting so big!!
we had a very fun and busy week. I'm hoping to have another busy week, that will happen only if i follow through on contacting people to hang out. If i stay busy, then their is no time to feel lonely right?
