Bug's First Hair Cut

Above is a picture of before i cut her hair. She had, what one of my friends named, a "Whale Spout." Her hair was so long in back that it curved as it fell looking like something was spouting out of the back of her head.

But on a positive side, we can now do the Mohawk !!! Little Mo is back!!!

Family Vacation, Part 1

For our family vacation this summer we had two family reunions during the same week. So we split the time up between the families. The first part of the week was spent with my side of the family, and the second part was spent on lake Powell with husband's family. a few days before we left for our vacation, Husband got a phone call from a company in Phoenix AZ to do a six month internship. So for part of our trip we planned our move. We found an apartment and set up all the fun things like utilities. But between planning our move, we found time to have fun in the sun!! here are pictures of us playing at the different splash pads in St. George, UT.

Grumpy ended up tripping and had to get stitches, so he wasn't allowed to ride the jet skis(although that didn't hold for very long) so he spent most of his time fixing the bikes after I would get off (Kyler and I had a tenancy to break the bikes while we were out on them)

Garden and the 4th of July

A few months ago i posted pictures of my garden as little seedlings. now look at it!! (this was taken the first week in July, i have NO clue what it looks like now, i hope it is producing great fruit for the new tenets.!)

this is the fourth of July. We went with husband's sister's family. My nephew is only two weeks younger than Bug. He is a stud.

Bug LOVES her aunt and uncle!!! They are the best and when they are around, we NEVER see bug!!

Moving

 the second week of July was spent moving! What a great trip that was! (sarcasm) We staid the night in St. George. the next morning we got up and spent the day hanging out. In the afternoon we stopped by teh splash pad and played in there for an hour. On the way home, I decided I was to wet to put my pants on over my swimsuit so i decided to just drive home in my suit. When i got to my mom's house, i realized i forgot my phone and pants at the park. when i drove back i couldn't find them there. I ended up finding my pants in the middle of State street. They were my brand new pants and i decided it was worth running out in my swimsuit to save them. When i got them, I realized that the phone had fallen out of the pocket and was still lost. I decided to take one more trip to the park and see if i could find it on the road anywhere. As i turned the corner, my car died. Yes the car that we put a new engine in a year ago!! UGG!! So now i have a lost cell phone, pants that have been run over several times and my car is broken down. I took a spare phone with me just in case something came up. It took me 4 phone calls to get a hold of someone to come and get me. When my mom got there, i was in tears. We decided the car wasn't in good enough condition to drive back home, so we unpacked the car and loaded my mom's car with it. To add to my already bad day, when i pulled out a suitcase, all the contents fell across the sidewalk. yes it wasn't enough for my clothing to be in the middle of state street, it had to also be all over the side walk! When we got back to my  mom's home, to top off my day, there was a fire coming over the mountain and I thought for sure we would have to evacuate (at least the evacuation never happened) . Although it was a pretty traumatic day, I can now laugh about it. husband's mom found the cell phone on the side of the road. here's the damage

After that little set back. I ended up leaving the car in St. George where my Father in Law picked it up and took it to Salt lake. I road the rest of the way to phoenix in my mother in laws car and we had no problems. Infact, to add irony to the troubles we had on the way down, our new apartment has a car rental place and two car dealerships in walking distance!!! And the one stop we made after finding the phone had a verison phone place inside of it , only problem . . . it was closed

Master bed room, yes i realize my bed is on the floor. our last apartment had an infestation of termites and I didn't want to risk transferring them so i got rid of the bed and the couch. 

Other end of the bedroom. The mirror is a door to a walk in closet, I'm pretty sure you don't want to see my dirty laundry, so I will not post a picture of the closet, although it's huge.

We decided putting the bed at an angle was the best way, otherwise you would run into it when you walked into the room

Well, husband is wanting to go to bed, So you only had to run through a month and a half. I'll post pictures of our trip to the zoo and to the science center in my next post (whenever that may be)
