I really want to take some pictures of today's adventures. It began with me playing a game called Pharaoh for a little while (try two hours). After feeling the guilt of waiting my morning a made a list of things that needed to get done.
1. check email and Facebook (wasn't a need but nice to do)
2. shower
3. turn on Christmas music
4. do dishes (yuck!! I hate this job
5. clean desk ( not a short task)
6. fold laundry
. . .
the list goes on. The true adventure was number 5. I didn't think it would take8 hours but it did. i made Kyler work on the closet and his "need to go through stack," which were mostly notebooks from past years, and old assignments (from high school). I wish i could have taken pictures of it, but of course we lost the camera somewhere in the mess. Kyler kept rationalizing that he needed to keep things and of course, they were things that you could find easier on the internet than in his stack of stuff. . . poor kid. it was a tough day, but he is a trooper! We only have one stack of notebooks about as high as my knee. . . we started out with at least 4 of these stacks.
I ended up going through my stacks and finding stuff that i never knew i had. I also started a couple of my own stacks of "need to go through" They were mostly preschool lessons that hadn't been filed yet. i"m a slacker sometimes.
I can now say, to day has been a success. Kyler and i have gotten rid of all, i mean most of those papers that we will never look at again. Our house is decorated for Christmas, Christmas shopping is done and we are as happy as can be. I love my husband so much.
