Grandma and Grandpa Webb....

So, i have written several blogs lately... yes i know that they are not published on my page, but i did write some and i saved them... but when i went through them i realized Matt Hall was right... all of my blogs are about boys so i decided not to publish them...

Well this blog is going to be about my trip to Las Vegas that i took yesterday to grandma and grandpa's home. Yes there is one boy that i mention in here, but only for like two paragraphs.

SO i woke up bright and early Saturday (meaning about seven, for some that might not be early but for me that is way to early) to get ready to leave for Vegas. I decided to hitch a ride with my friend Dallin from high school/college. He was heading down for a trumpet lesson (band nerds). Dallin picked me up at 8:45 am and he dropped me off just off the Apex exit. When he dropped me off there, grandpa and his cute puppy Andy were waiting axciously for me to get there. I jumped out of Dallins car with my over packed back pack and flute.

I ran over to grandpa and gave he a great big hug. He gave me his hug just like every other... hands on my head... i love the hugs that grandpa gives... they are the best. When we started to get into the car, i realized that i was going to have to fight Andy for shot gun. when Andy realized that no matter how cute her puppy eyes were, she would have to got into the back of the car, she gave be a big cow kiss on the lips. Grandpa later informed me that Andy had been eating fertilizer from their back yard all morning long... where was the sanitizer when you needed it.

As we started down the street, grandpa asked me if i had breakfast, i answered "Yeah i had a bowl of cereal" grandpa rolled his eyes and gave me the look of "you call that breakfast..." I informed him that i eat that breakfast and dinner at school. I like mac and cheese to much to get myself to hate it, so i just stick with cereal. after telling him this, he made a sharp left hand turn (Running a yellow light) into the Denney's parking lot.

before getting out of the car, i looked at grandpa and gave him some puppy eyes and asked " can Andy and my flute come too?"

Grandpa stopped as if surprised to hear me ask something like that with such a serious expression on my face. His answer went something like this, "yes, your flute can come in," my face light up, "but no Andy cant come in, she will eat the scraps on the floor, plus she will jump up on every ones lap and eat their food." i guess that was a pretty good reason for leaving Andy by her self so a picked up my flute and ran to the door of Denney's.

Grandpa and i both ordered more than we could eat, i managed to shove it all down, but poor Grandpa had to much coffee in his system to finish his. When we finished and went back to the car, we saw that Andy was being a great guard dog and sawing logs... aka she was asleep. She was snoring too!when we got into the car and started to go, Andy hardly opened her eyes. No wonder Grandpa let me bring in my flute, his puppy wouldn't be able to protect it...

when we got to his house, Grandpa decided that it was time to feed Andy. If you haven't heard of how Grandpa feeds this dog, hold on to your chair, you just might fall off laughing. So grandpa starts out just like any other person does and puts dry food into a bowl, then puts wet food in. This isn't surprising, but the fact that he puts sausage in was just a little shocking, but when i saw him put the dog bowl into the microwave, i just about died from shock. I asked Him what he was doing, and Grandpa looked at me and said the most amazing line that i will never forget, "well, doesn't everyone heat up their dog's food before they give it to them?" Grandma at this point glares at grandpa and informs him, for what looked like the hundredth time, that he was the only person in the world that would heat up their dogs food. All grandma could say after that was "Spoiled dog" with a little eye roll.

After Andy ate, Grandpa took is spoiled dog to the store so they could grocery shop. Grandma and i Spent the next little bit talking about when she was younger, and she talked about the talents that she has. It was so awesome to learn so much about Grandma. I knew that she was a Majorette, but didn't know that she also was a tap dancer. Did you know that Grandma was so good that she was told that she needed to start to teach because they had nothing more to teach her? I think for our Christmas talent show next year Grandma should tap dance for us,what do you think about that?

Grandma used to also direct drama, and she taught her kids how to public speak. How cool is that? i didn't know that. Also Grandma is a really good writer. She used to write plays for road shows and relief society thing. i never knew that. She also told me that my mom and Aunt DeAnne used to win public speaking competitions all the time.

When Grandpa got back form the store, he turned on his new computer... Wow... and i taught him how to look up every ones blog. Grandma and Grandpa had so much fun looking at all of their grandkid's pictures and their comments about life. We loved looking at Shara's boys, Christa's Lexi, Alisa's beautiful kids, and Yannette's Little Miss's big brown eyes. When looking at Grandma and grandpa while they were looking at these blogs, you could see the love that they have for all of the children and grandchildren and great grand children. Keep putting up pics for them, and if you get a chance find them on the web cam, you will be so touched to see how much they love all of us.

After looking at all of the blogs, i pulled out my flute and played for them. When driving to their house, grandpa asked me if i had brought my flute, and i said of course. He told me that grandma gave him stricked instruction not to ask me to bring my flute and if it came then great but she said that i might be getting sick of playing for them. I could never get sick of playing for them. It makes me so happy to see people appreciate my talent. Every time i looked up, i could see how much they were enjoying my music. Seeing how much they love to see me play makes me want to practice even more so i can see that light in their eyes.

Like all good things, my time with them came to an end and Dallin picked me up to take me home. I didn't want to leave. I had tears in my eyes when i felt grandma and grandpa's love as they gave me their special hugs.

Thank you grandma and grandpa for being so great. You are both amazing. You both are great examples to me. I am so glad that i was able to spend so much time with you yesterday.

Have fun, be safe, i love all of you lots and lots.
